Back in 1980 when Tommy Emmanuel was taking a break from the guitar, he and his brother Phil put together a band called GOLD RUSH with Tommy on drums and vocals, and Phil on Electric Lead and vocals. There is only one recording of the band recorded live direct to 2 track with no overdubbing. This is it.

Good news. The UK Tommy Fest will be happening this year at The West Wing
Arts Centre, Slough on 21st -24th March 2008. As you are probably aware that
this event was due to happen at Windsor Arts Centre, but due to the building
going into administration was in serious danger of not going on.

12/17/2007 - Tommy Emmanuel cancels Australian tour
After canceling concert dates in the Netherlands due to exhaustion and illness, Grammy award nominated guitarist Tommy Emmanuel has been advised to cancel his Australian tour which was to commence on December 29th. He will return to his home in Nashville, Tennessee immediately to receive treatment for health issues that will require an extended recovery time.
