Dear Tommy,
First of all let me say my husband and I are huge fans. I grew up seeing you at Winfield bluegrass festival each year. When I met my husband one of the first trips we took was to Winfield in 2006 to see you. That year was amazing as always but one song stood out to us "Lewis and Clark." We loved it and how happy it made us. So much so that last year when planning our wedding we decided that was the song we wanted playing when I walked down the aisle. We have a amazing family friend who is also a huge fan and knew how to play it. It was perfect! Our wedding was June, 25th 2011. We are seeing you coming up in Albuquerque, NM on June 24th 2012. We were hoping you could play that song that night since the very next day will be our one year anniversary. It would mean so much to us! Thank you for your music and sharing it with us and thank you for writing such a perfect song that will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
Sincerely,
Abigail and Wesley

Hello Tommy,
My wife and I saw your show on Thursday, June 7th at the Colonial Theatre. We were supposed to have seen you three years ago, but my step-son had viral menengitis and ended up in the hospital, forcing us to miss your show. This was a life threatening illness with a long, slow recovery. When I saw you were back at the Colonial I decided to buy us tickets for our fifth anniversary. We were in the second row Thursday, and after hearing the song Haba Na Haba, my wife was moved to tears. The message of the song truly touched her soul. She started to text her now well son, who had just finished his first year of college, with the message " I hear you are home. Tommy is amazing, but I have to say I would miss it again to be with you if you needed me. No regrets!" when you started playing "Somehere Over The Rainbow". Her son texted her back simply "I love you Mom!"
It was at this time you opened your eyes, looked at her and said " I hope that's important "
Tommy, your show was fantastic! Well worth the three year wait, and both of us would love to see you again and meet you in person to tell you how much your music means to us.
And yes, Tommy, it was important.

Hi, Tommy –
Jan here. I was in the Beatles teeshirt at the meetandgreet at the Birchmere -- and again in Phoenixville (where you signed the photo I took of you at the Birchmere.) I just wanted to tell you how very much your music means to me. Meeting you and seeing you perform has been the highlight of my life. You are THE BEST! (If God played guitar, He/She would sound just like you!) I’ll be at your Harrisburg show in July – and at two shows in September (front row) in New Jersey. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful music and your equally beautiful heart and soul with the world – and for being an inspiration to those of us whose lives you touch (especially us guitar pickers!)

Tommy,
What a fantastic session at yesterday's workshop in Richmond! I drove up from Durham, NC and managed to sit front row center and you were amazing. I greatly admire your work and really appreciate you taking time from your busy travel schedule to do events like that. I hope to attend another event like this soon.
Cheers,
Jim

Tommy,
Your performance last month in Roanoke VA was inspiring - when I tell other fellow professional musicians you are the greatest living guitarist - I mean it. Thank you for such a gracious performance.
When you spoke of 'following your dream', I'm sure you were speaking to the younger people in the audience. But you have inspired me at 60 (I'm an ex songwriter from Nashville's Tree Pub./Sony ATV music in the 70's) to have another go of it. Here's a piece I recently finished after beginning the composition on a park bench in Madrid, Spain in 1972:

Thanks again for your great performance and showmanship, especially for us gray-haired folks who are still learning more every day about the power of music.
Best, (...and keep on pickin'!)
Sandy 'Sandyman' Flynn

Tommy, I live in Gloucester County, Va. & drove to Richmond, Va to see the Saturday June 9, 2012 show at the Carpenter Theatre. Thank you so very much for a very entertaining evening. I became more familiar with your amazing abilities to play the guitar from Stephen Bennette. He spoke very highly about you. I know how great a guitar player Stephen is. You take the playing to the next level & then some. I have been playing finger pickin style acoustic guitar for about 30 years . It is a hobby. I am good You are amazing! Guitar palyers can appreciate your skills on a different level than most. . I hope that you will return to this area someday for another show. The sound was excellent. Thanks to your soundman. My friend that went to the Richmond show with me is a new fan of your music. He was very impressed with your show. You mentioned inspiration during your show Saturday. Seeing your show inspired me to pick up my guitar & play it with more enthusiasm than I ever have before. Thank you for that also. Thanks again for a great memory. Hope we see you soon! Sincerely, David Jones

Thank you so much Tommy for coming to the Colonial Theater in Phoenixville, PA! I was there both nights, and was so happy to speak with you at both Meet and Greets. You signed my son's guitar the first night and then signed my photos and guitar strap the second. You made me so happy with your generosity of spirit. Your gift is amazing and I am so grateful that you share it with us. Please come back soon!
