I know this is the 10 billionth time you've hear this, but you have changed my life and the way I listen to and play guitar. I find strength, inspiration and clarity through your musical soul. Thank you for everything. You are coming to Atlanta in 2014 at the Variety Playhouse, and I will be there front and center. You are my Chet Atkins.

My wife and I are excited for you to come to ALbuquerque New Mexico in February.
It may be presumptuous of us but we would love to invite you to dinner here in our home. Here in New Mexico we have a saying "Mi Casa I Su Casa" My home is your home.
It would be an honor to treat you to a quiet home atmosphere and a good New Mexican supper.

HI,Tommy,I'm a college student from Wuhan,China.I know you from the Internet, and since the first time I watched your performence,I know this is the voice I want on guitar.I was confused why you can make such beautiful sound just by only one guitar. And since then, you are my super star.
I know the road on practicing guitar won't be smooth, but I enjoy the process,I have some problems too,Hope you can give me a reply.
Best wishes.

My daughter just turned me on to your 'Tall Fiddler' video on Wimp. I very rarely comment. Yours is very exciting. You're truly an inspiration! I'm looking forward to listening to more of you music. Thank you.

Hello Tommy!

I'm George from Athens (Greece), and a great fan of you!
I'm an electric guitar student for the last 3 years (and I have an 8-year history playing piano few years ago)
At my 30s and being already married with a little child, I decided that I had to start playing the guitar, that I love so much!...

First of all I want to say a big "Thank you" for the music you give to us (the world).
I've spent hours watching your performances and I think you are one of the few best guitarists of the world!...
I admire your finger style of your playing and especially admire the way you understand and "place" the music on the fretboard.
I mean the seamless connection of all the scale patterns, all the variety of the chord types and styles, and all the kinds of embellishment you do!...
You make it seem so flowless and easy, but the same time I know it is of the highest level!...

I have read that you have never read music...
So we are talking for a big talent of yours, and this is another reason for me to admire you even more...
In my case, I have a teacher and I study the guitar the "typical", formal way, you know, with the types of chords organized, the patterns of scales and all that staff. I want to be able to play some good music with my guitar, this is my hope!...
As I study (3rd year now from the beggining) I realise that I have to (and I want to) let myself more free, above the patterns and the klises, and improvise more and more.
I don't know if it (the formal instruction) is the right way to really learn playing guitar qualitatively. I'll find out in a few years :)

I hope that it will be yourself that will read my letter... (and not any assistant of yours) :)
I also hope that maybe I see you live in Athens, at a concert, if you would like to arrange it (we love you here!)

Be well,
George Vogiatzes

Hi Tommy, I'm so grateful that I've been able to discover your beautiful music in the past year. I am a first year physical therapy student in Texas and in my program the workload is extremely high and such is the stress that accompanies it. I usually put your music on during my lunch breaks or while I'm showering and it has such a huge ability to relax me and help me stay optimistic about my circumstances. I pray that God may bless you with many more years of performing and creating the lovely work that you do. One day I hope to learn one of your works so I can play it for my kids and grandkids. God bless!

I just saw a video of you doing a Byron Berline song - the tall fiddler. My daughter Anna and I had the pleasure of meeting and playing with Byron last summer at the Nimble Fingers acoustic camp in BC. Byron is still a great tall fiddler and the nicest, most humble guy on earth. Of course, you know that all ready. We are looking forward to seeing you at the Broadway Theatre in Saskatoon this May and I hope you can sneak in a couple of Beatles songs into the mix - they are the best ever in my opinion. Can't wait for the concert.
