Dear Tommy, my husband and I saw you in Seattle two years ago. Fantastic... absolutely wonderful. I listen to your music frequently and as a more mature person in my fifties I've suddenly "discovered" Led Zeppelin and one of their songs is called "the rain song". I love listening to it and what would be great would be you playing it in your style. I've checked the YouTube but as far as I know, there is no recording of it by you. Is this correct and if so have you ever contemplated playing it? Much obliged, Jean

Dear Tommy and suppport staff & Dear gentle readers: Jan. 4th I decided to play my first gig since surgery (Nov. 26). Went to center early to warm up and play for whoever might be there, and lay off if I ran out of energy. Now comes Kevin with harp (that's harmonica to us Yanks:) . . . first time for us to meet, attempt to duet, etc. Tried a couple of songs and he went on and played some beautiful tunes. By now I have learned he is Australian by birth. Now comes Matilda, flying into my consciousness, dressed in her finest regalia including gleaming hair ribbons, insisting on having her namesake song played. I told Kevin, "Let's try to make a duet of Matilda" . . . and we did. Later on when more people were there we did another run through and it was good. Now comes my observation: This is the first time in the 18 months of my gigs that someone has come forth to duet with me on a musical instrument. I have accompanied vocalists along the way. He walked in unannounced. He is Aussie (already has extra points in my book) and we successfully dueted. Oh, gift of joy. Coincidence or not? You get to chose. I am off the chart in pure delight. My choice is that there are no coincidences:-) Hope to see you at Arcata Jan. 31. Recovery is slowly coming along. Can shop at average size grocery store but not able to do tour of Walmart.
