I "discovered" you through a friend about a year ago. I set up my own "Tommy Emmanuel" Radio Station on Pandora on my iMac. I caught you for the first time in person last night at Dosey Doe near Houston. I thought your guitar would catch fire on some of your rifts. Absolutely spectacular! (I'm the guy to the left of the stage who asked if you ever play the same song twice in the same way.) Hope to you again some day.

Dear Tommy,

I am quite a bit older than you but have been loving guitar music ever since I found my uncle's Martin F-top guitar when I was about 10 years old. I have never gotten very good playing the guitar but am a pro at listening to great guitar music. I have every album, CD and DVD you have ever made but have yet to be able to see you live. I am listening to your new Pensacola, Florida CD&DVD as I type this. You were in Richmond last year and I could not get to see you. Please come back as soon as your schedule permits. You are an inspiration to thousands and revered by all! Thank you for all you do to promote great guitar music and the work ethic necessary to produce it.

Hello Tommy;

I love to watch you perform (it merely "blows me away").
Will you be coming to Canada, in the future - specifically to Calgary, Alberta?

Your fan;
Ben Smith

What an honor it was to see you at the Little Rock workshop! Great teaching, inspiration, and advice to take with us. Thank you for all of your hard work!!
My husband Ted (who you met too) & I traveled to Dallas to see your concert tonight, very much looking forward to it. Bringing daughter Laura, who's getting married soon & is also a big fan of yours. Seeing you was one of our wedding gifts to her! Love, from the girl who gave you the Razorback t-shirt... thanks for your grace & patience with your rabid fans, ha.

Hello Tommy,
Just a small request. Please consider writing something in the Bossa Nova genre. There was such beautiful music written by Jobim, Gilberto, etc., that absolutely stands the test of time. No one writes melodies and rhythms for the guitar like you do. Each topic or style that you "channel"(i.e. Native American, the American Cowboy, the Austrailian Aboriginals) produces a remarkable result. Another thought would be to consider covering one of your Brazilian favorites, (although "Rio" sort of qualifies - and your rendition of Rio is fantastic). I have had the absolute joy of attending your live performances many times in many states in the US. I can finally relate to those "Dead Heads" of yesteryear. Can't wait until the next performance.

Hey tommy! :),I've been listening to your brilliant music for almost two years now and I have bought 3 of your albums :). I've really enjoyed your collaborations with frank vignola and Martin Taylor,your diversity in style is truly inspiring. A question I would like to ask would be your advice on gaining thumb dependence,I know it's a question you probably get asked a lot but it's something I've been working out.
Thanks for taking time to read this email as I know you have a very busy schedule. All the best for your upcoming concerts and shows,you really have an amazing talent :). Best wishes from wales!!
