Just a note of profound gratitude for Tommy's giving everything of himself to bring happiness to others. He is my hero now that Chet is gone. He is awesome, and I wish him and his the choicest of God's blessings.

Hi Tommy,
My wife and I saw your show a few months ago in Denver and it was fabulous! I love finger style guitar playing and similar to you I grew up idolizing players like Chet Atkins. I was lucky enough to spend time with him at a Master's guitar workshop back East during the 80's. He taught me the meaning of the word humility.

I would love to send you a copy of my instrumental CD to get some constructive feedback. If nothing else you could use it for a coaster. I mainly just wanted to say hello and let you know how much I appreciate your guitar playing.

Take Care!
Doug

Well, I heard about Tommy Emmanuel only for one week in the Hungarian television as the "one man band" with an accoustic guitar. Whaaat??? I had to see it! Youtube, search and.... it's true! Unbelieveble! I've learned to play classical guitar, but I've never imagined that somebody can play like You!
Maestro! You are the No.1!

Would love to see you in Hawaii. Does your touring ever take you there?

Good day to you Mr. Emmanuel. I hope this finds you in good spirits and good health.
A friend of mine, Jose Martinez and his wife Sharon said that you were coming to town. Jose mentioned that he set up your gear for you last time you were here in Halifax Nova Scotia Canada.

I have tickets to your show here in Halifax in June 2014. I was wondering if your putting on any workshops while your here. If you are I would like to sign up. I have been a big fan of yours since I saw you play with Chet Atkins way back when. He truly was a pioneer in guitar picking. I have a tremendous amount of respect for your talent. You play from your sole. I am a novel guitar player at best. I play by ear but from the heart.

What you do with harmonics is amazing but one of my all time favorites is guitar boogie.. you own the stage. and when you played your version of Classical Gas.. WOW!!!

I am a member of the Canadian Forces and have been serving my country for 18 years and it would be a life long dream to have you teach me a thing or two on guitar.

If you wish a quite evening in a small modest home, barbeque with steaks and a beer away from the rat race. Let me know.

Safe Travels mate.

Thank you

Please take good care of U

Tommy, ever since I discovered you on utube, I listen to you just about every night. Have you ever considered doing a rendition of " Hotel California" ?
I would love to hear it.
Respectfully,

Hello Mr. Tommy Emmanuel,

Hope you're in the best of health... how i wish you can perform here in my country, the Philippines. Hopefully you know my country as well. Anyway, i think that by far, you are the best if not the greatest guitarist in the whole world! you are sooooooooooooo great! I remember my father every time i watched your guitar video. I really really wish you can come here and perform.
All the best to you and May God Bless you always.

Hello Mr Emmanuel,

I have been a fan of yours and have been studying your technique for some time. I have noticed that when you finger pick you use multiple fingers. I started finger picking with index, middle and ring fingers and have been playing for some time (about a year) but I find that picking with just my thumb and index is more comfortable. I would like to ask if you would recommend that I stick with what I find more comfortable (index and thumb) or use multiple fingers, and would it hinder my advancement as a finger picker if I didn't use index, middle and ring fingers? Thanks in advance

Dear TommyCGP: Wishing you, your family and support team beautiful Easter Blessings. I hope your next tour in our area will include "Initiation". It is a message of love and respect that transcends spoken language. You forged a pathway to bring this message to those who would be open and be able to hear it. If you had been limited to present-day music notation, "Initiation" and its' message would not be with us. I have limited skill in reading music and used to feel so regimented by it. Watching and hearing your beautiful music inspires me and helps me find ways to bypass the written music much of the time. Freedom! How sweet it is! I played Phantom of the Opera theme for the first time, anywhere, private or public at the center last week. Have heard it over the years and played from that memory. Printed music is a necessity for those of us who have a bit of talent. Gifted beautifully as you are is another matter entirely. And you took the rarest gift I have ever heard, felt, seen or been touched by and worked and worked on it. Might you invent a new musical instrument? Writing and playing music does not necessarily need to be in written form for those with such a gift. (Cancer update: Surgery Nov. 26, 2012 for stage 2 endometrial cancer. Recovery slow (my opinion). Dr. said they got it all and lymph nodes were all clear. Later he said it had progressed to a stage 3 uterine, 50% through the uterine wall, and insisted I take radiation. I decided not to follow that course. So far I remain symptom clear. This is the short version :-) ... My heart goes out to all who are challenged by catastrophic health issues. Thank you for reading this and allowing that I can communicate this to you and fellow lovers of your music and their loved ones. Thank you, Tommy. You found me "Just in Time" + Blessings and Love + A
