Hi Tommy -

We first saw you live in Boulder, Colorado. If you recall that show, the A/C was not working in the auditorium. When you came out and calmly said the heat was just like you remember playing in back in Australia and just started performing in that intense heat, everyone was astounded. That concert was so spectacular, we had to be sure you did not use smoke and mirrors. Just to be sure, we made a little vacation out of going to see your show in Kansas City. We then repeated the little vacation idea by driving to see your show in Tulsa with your brother and his band. Then, over Valentine's Day we got front row seats to see you in Lafayette, Indiana. (Astounding show!) We saw you in Denver and Fort Collins in the meantime.

Next is in Des Moines, Iowa in September. For that show I have an odd request... I know these are for oldies that were originally played with a sax and orchestra, but if you happen to have a version of "Amanda's Room" or "Don't Hold Me Back" or "The Last Time I saw You" that you can pull out of your bag of tricks, we'd love to see it in Des Moines.

- Thanks, Ed & Vickie, Denver, Colorado

PS - We were a bit apprehensive about your Tulsa show not being "just you" playing but you and your brother and his band put on an fantastic show. You kept us "Tommy purists" happy yet introduced us to the talents of your brother and his band quite nicely. When you ran around and PLAYED EVERY INSTRUMENT on stage on that one song, we were mesmerized. It was a very memorable show, well worth the travel.

G'day Tommy! my name is Trent, I'm a guitarist from Melbourne. Only recently have I been really getting deep into solo acoustic playing and discovering different ways to write and also arrange tunes with the acoustic guitar.
Would you be able to advise me on some tunes or techniques that inspired you to pursue this kind of playing when you were discovering the beauty of playing solo guitar?
Thanks mate! hope you're having an awesome weekend

Hey Tommy,

I'm a fan from Australia, the Southern Highlands of NSW in fact. I started guitar 2 years ago when I was 21 and I can't stop.. it's my passion. You've really inspired me with your music and your attitude. I've probably watched every one of your videos on youtube and I like your no bs attitude and your openness whether it be through your guitar, your experiences or your advice.. clearly you've learnt a lot in your lifetime and I feel I'm on a similar journey.

My favourites - Little by Little, And So it Goes

Thanks Tommy, hope you can read this and good luck

I first heard your music while driving home from college in 2005. It was a recording on public radio from a show you did at the Lake Superior Big Top Chautauqua. I tuned to the radio just as you were starting your Beatles Medley. I was instantly hooked. I'm not a guitarist, but I enjoy the music and especially the art form that you make of it. I just bought tickets to see you in Burnsville, MN, and hope to see you many more times to come. Thank you for the amazing music!

Hello Tommy, I just wanted to thank you for giving me the inspiration to start playing again. I am 56 yrs old. Things are going ok...I just wrote a song (hopefully) for the Television Series "Hillbilly Blood". The star of the show Eugene Runkis and his wife emailed me today....they love it. He is going to see if his producer will let me play it on the show! Thats a big deal to me. So I want to thank you for the inspiration...You are my guitar hero....would love to meet you sometime. Here is my latest song for the show. "Cold Mountain Breakdown" Your friend Rocky Rogers www,
