Hi Tommy.....have loved your music for years, and enjoy getting the newsletter regularly. I'm in Anaheim, California. My brother and I will get to see you perform in Redondo Beach on 1/23....woo-hoo! Looking forward to it. We are also wondering if you will be attending the NAAM show, or any of the other music events/jam sessions around the Orange County area over the 24th, 25th or 26th. Please let us know, as we'd love to enjoy your music in our own back yard! My contact info is listed below. Thanks for such great music! REPLY: Tommy will not be attending NAMM. He is doing two shows in Malibu on the 21 and 22 of January, and Redondo Beach on the 23rd. He has to go on to Las Vegas on the 24 and other places after that, so there are no other events planned in the area. - ADMIN

I just wanted to express my gratitude for the joy that you brought to by younger (24 yo) brother's life. He was an avid guitar player and a huge fan of yours. He attended a workshop of yours in Newport News, VA many years ago. You asked if you could play his Rainsong guitar and I've never seen him so excited. Throughout his battle with bone cancer, him and I listened to your songs together. He was always so proud that "the best guitar player in the world" had played his guitar. He passed away several days ago and gifted the guitar to his best friend who is an equally big fan of yours. Anyways, I just wanted to say thank you and let you know how much of an inspiration you were to him in his life.

I saw you and Hank Marvin on tube while you are playing Apache. Is it possible to see you and Hank really?

I mostly play piano, but would like to be better at guitarplaying also, listened to the Classical Gas video but this seems impossible, especially playing bass and melody at the same time, tremendous !

Sorry, think I sent a prior incorrect email address. I asked a question about using a thumb pick versus hybrid picking with a flat pick; if you would use hybrid picking in preference to thumb picking for a particular song and if you can achieve the same speed with a thumb pick as you could hybrid picking.
