This is a small quartet arrangement I did for "windy and warm" . I recorded it on my iPad with the apogee mic and recorded my violin 4 times. In the end there is a little joke:) its for all your wonderful licks I can't do on the violin:)
In the futur I will record the complete song with a quartet in a studio.

My wife and I are looking forward to your February 8 performance in Baton Rouge. We sent a meet and greet request so perhaps we'll meet in person. I'm a beginner guitar player and big fan. Your music and advice has been a great inspiration.

Hi Tommy, My name is Anthony, I am an animation student currently residing in Vancouver, British Columbia. I have been a fan of yours for a little while now. I've been wondering if it alright with you that I use your cover of Jimmy Hendrix's "Purple Haze" for a student film I will be working on. It will probably won't be screened in a theatre of any kind. I'm just going to put it up on youtube as part demo of my demo reel when I graduate. I most likely won't make any profit off of it, but I think it will be cool, if I could use it as the soundtrack to a very short film. I just love your rendition so much that it would be the perfect fit for the story idea I had. Thank you for reading. I hope you will allow me to use your beautiful arrangement of a classic Hendrix tune. Sincerely, Anthony
REPLY: No problem using the YouTube, but Tommy did not write Purple Haze so you might have a problem with the publishers of the music. I'd just use it and if they stop you in any way you may have to pay for a syncronization license for the writer.

What a wonderful surprise to find your end of year message together with Only Elliot online! I loved that song when I first heard you play it in Denmark Street back in March and it's a real treat to be able to listen to it whenever I'm near a computer - thank you! I'm hoping it will also be on your next album.
Wishing you and your team safe travels in the new year and hope to see you playing back in the UK as soon as possible.

Any chance you'll ever play in Vancouver, BC Canada? It really does seem strange that for all the years you've been touring you have never included a city that is considered one of the best cities to live in anywhere on the planet. What gives? You play a ton of dates in the US every year and maybe one or tow in eastern Canada so how about getting your north American agent to fit Vancouver in just once before either I drop dead or you do?
REPLY: Every year (or every other year) Tommy plays quite a few dates in Canada.... sorry you have been missing out!
Check www.tommyemmanuel.com/tours/ for worldwide listings and to sign up for the mailing list so you find out when dates are added.
And check out May 2014... quite a few Canadian dates, with Vancouver on the 15th: http://ticketstonight.ticketforce.com/eventperformances.asp?evt=2400
