Good day,Mr Emmanuel.
I beg you to give me a moment of your attention.I am playing on the guitar for 6 years and i faced with the problem. In many accords i need to use my left thumb to pinch fifth string but to me it has been difficult.I tried to find out about this on the Internet but it was useless. And i decided to ask about it from one of the best and my favorite guitarists in the world.Could you gvie me some piece of advice to make pinching of fifth string possible to me?Some exercises or something like that?
Thanks in advance.
You Russian fan,Dmitriev Anton.
P.S. Sorry for my not perfect English.

Tommy,
I am soo excited. We have figured a way to make it work, and will be driving down the coast from Oregon to see you, Frank and Vinny at The Palace of Fine Arts again. We are making it an early 36th Anniversary treat to each other.
Thank you so much for singing "The Duke" for us last year. Your music has blessed us more that you can imagine thru some pretty rough times. God is good.
Blessings,
Lisa and Carl

Hi Tommy, Red and I saw you last night at the Surflight Theater Sept. 16,2012. I got the tickets for Red's 60th birthday and we were in the front row center. We loved the Meet and Greet giving us a one and one with you and thanks for your autograph's and warm wishes. We hope you liked the Guitar Hands, it really does work!! SEATS,oh my the best and to be so close and watch your passion and warmth when playing gave us goose bums and some tears, your moves are great too! Tommy, never stop your an inspiration to all. Tommy, the audience is a sponge taking in every bit of your being when you play,"BRAVO". Feel better and of course, we will see you all. Best to you, Lesley and Red

I have worked very hard to learn guitar, be it classical, flamenco, Spanish; I've never had a lesson and I don't read anything other than TAB; I barely hold on by the skein of my teeth, and it is you, and your , whom inspire me to keep trying.
I had a terrible injury while serving in the US ARMY; I lost "me;" though between my Uncle Paul's early support of my desire to learn, the inspiration of Andres Segovia, and my encouragement from watching your video's, I would have lost any desire to challenge myself with the guitar, and would likely have given up on actually making music, and would have instead just "played the stereo."
I would think myself to be fortunate; very lucky, indeed, to have even a petty semblance of your talent.
Warm regards!

I saw you in Northampton, Massachusetts last Wednesday night. My son Dwight, who is 13, met you before the show. You played a Beatles medley and later paused or a guitar lesson during the show. I bet you aimed that at him, or at least I think you did, and I'd like to say how much I appreciated it. How kind of you.
I had never heard your music before and it was quite inspiring. When I got home I stayed up far too late reading what I could about you. I have a life as far from yours as you can imagine ( I'm a farmer) yet some of the aspects of your lifestyle - past and present - parallel mine. You made me look at what I do in a different way and consider some things I hadn't before. I'm still chewing on them almost a week later. It's nice to get knocked out of orbit every once in a while. Thank you for that. And the music was wonderful.

Dear Tommycgp: Our page one is in its' fourth printing... Continuing on to page 2, Featherhead News ... published +Son+days...
Factual bird news as reported by Univ. of California, Davis says they are the first to observe that some birds react profoundly to the passing of one of their own, holding gatherings of up to one half hour. This report concerns the western scrub jay. Report is in "Animal Behavior" ...
Hawk update: The ranks are increasing as I write. It just gets better and better. One inspired, gifted, brilliant and dedicated musician (who credits those who help him, past and present) makes all the difference for those of us who are sensitive enough to get the messages. Have observed a great range of sensitivity to your great gift. Everything from casual to profound. I am a member of the profound group and ever thankful for it.
Song of antiquity update: It is the call of the meadowlark, heard several times by "A" but not seen, more than fifty years ago. I remember it well. It needs to be the base of a musical composition.....
Headline special: We value our bird news customers. Please remember that in order to complete a transaction with us you must be in direct physical contact with a living tree. You might want to consider using precautionary tactics when near our affiliated trees. There are several bird visitors, due to our ongoing BST (bird seed and tea) parties sponsored by our franchisers. Feel free to observe the rainbows of lovely bird feathers on the real thing, living beautiful birds. As you conduct your transactions touching the trees, look up at your own risk. Some of our fine feathered friends concentrate on target practice and revel in it, having been targets since time immemorial. (See ad section for environment friendly, easy-to-use cleansers. Clean feathers are good feathers.)
All are welcome at the tea parties. Menu items include millet chips, fresh organic herb teas and fruit bits speared on clean millet sprigs, and carrot thins for our night flyers (eyesight strengtheners)... just what the discriminating feathered friend wants for their afternoon breather...
Ads: Millet for sale. High quality. Will accept other organic varieties of seed "naturally", or whole fresh fruit. Hurry on this one: just arrived, ample supply of sturdy, tastefully bird perches. Prices vary according to size and decoration... Fresh supply pastel eggs. Contents not guaranteed (short shelf life)...secondary use involves crafting of the shells. Also, taking applications for franchise outlets for our new runaway business: "Millet Maven"...Acorn special coming soon... Now in stock, sharp quill pens specially designed for the secretary bird...(get the point)
Earth friendly cleansers in powdered or liquid form are available. Get yours through your local tree franchisee.
Autumn festival and time of thanks coming soon. It is a good year and there is much to be thankful for.
Our bluebird contingent is available (and will be there as soon as you think of us) to bring you a smile and ease your concerns and daily challenges. We have a contract with the original "Over the Rainbow" bluebirds. They have much expertise in this calling.
Due to popular response, look for page three, coming soon.
(Thank you again, Tommy and Chet and all who have helped you both along the way. You touch us from both the great beyond and in reality of the moment. Your positive influence on my life is most appreciated. +Blessings+ and Love, A)
