Dear Mr Emmanuel,

I am a composition student at the Sydney Conservatorium of music. Currently I am writing an essay on how composers reinforce their sense of national identity through their music. I'd love to write about you, especially since a lot of your music is written about Australia, but I can't find anything about it in your interviews!

So what I (and I'm sure the rest of the world) would like to know, is what does Australia mean to you, what does it mean to for you to be an Australian, and how do you try to express this in your music?

If you could respond to this soon that would be awesome for my essay, but even a response after it's due would be greatly appreciated by my fellow colleagues and I.

Kind Regards,

Edward Hampton

Hello Tommy,
I am 15 years old and I have been playing the guitar for about 10 years, I haven't yet had one guitar lesson just self taught plus just like yourself I don't read music, At the start I thought I was quite good at the guitar but when I saw one of your videos on You Tube, I was absolutely amazed and I wondered how could someone play that well! You are very talented and maybe one day I could meet you, what would be your best advice ? Take care Tommy!
Best song, The Robin! :)

I've recently been playing a lot of open DADGAD slap 'n tap music...and I absolutely love it; that's where I shine. One day, like you, I hope to be able to play around the world...being a light for people through my music. I'll be comin' to your show on May 29th in Portland, Maine...can't wait!!!! Really hopin' I can meet ya. And I don't know if this is too much to ask...but I would absolutely love to play a song with you during the show. It would be the biggest blessing I could ever be gifted with in my entire life. A dream. If it's possible!!! My e-mail is, and my number is 978 790 5059. Just wanted to thank you for such an incredible album (The Colonel and the Govenor). I have a huge collection of guitar albums from Charlie Christian to Joe Satriani, but I have played your album more over the past month than any of the others. Again many thanks. Superb !!!!. Keep up the good work.
Kindest Regards

Hi Mr. Emmanuel,
I am HUGE fan of yours and am planning on seeing your show in Burlington, VT on June 21. I noticed that there is no opening act and I am wondering if you would consider letting me open your show with a small set. I am 17 years old and currently working with Will Ackerman on my first CD. I play acoustic fingerstyle guitar and have also been working with local guitarist Paul Asbell. I would be honored to warm up for you. I sent an email to Boone Carter but received no reply so I thought I'd take a chance and contact you directly.
Whether I hear back or not, I will be in the audience with my father that night enjoying your tremendous talent. Sincerely,
Matteo Palmer
