Tommy,
You really know how to entertain! Your show last night in St. Louis (Sheldon Music Hall on 9-6-12) was another delightful experience thanks to you ! I've seen you several times in concert in my part of the universe and getting to finally meet you last night before the show was exciting. My momento's from our visit will be framed and hung in my music room with the other great guitarists I've been lucky to meet over the years.
Your playing has always been above and beyond most every other guitarist I've heard in the acoustic guitar world. I just wanted tyo thank you for such a great time, having finally met you in person and I apologize for offering you such lousy picks in my attempt to trade for one of yours.

Good evening Mr. Emmanuel from the land of the unexpected (Papua New Guinea). Just thought I'd drop a line and say thank you for continuing to inspire.
From the last time I watched you play (which was the last time your were in PNG), I've been hooked on your music. You've inspired me to continue and develop my playing. Thank you again for continuing to inspire guitar players such as myself. You are truly an inspiration and a guitar genius.
Wishing you all the best.
Your biggest fan,
Ernest Bola

Hi Tommy,
It is with a mixture of sadness and love that I send this message.
I was introduced to your incredible songs, your intelligent musicianship and beautiful craft by a very close friend of mine, Steven Sims. Steven, a talented musician himself, asked me one day whether I'd ever come across your work. In describing your music he simply said, "it speaks to you, in a way that only music can. I get lost in another world when I listen to Tommy. You'd love it." And love it I did. We could both sit in a room in awe as we scrolled through endless Youtube videos and when Steven decided one day to challenge himself to learn Smokey Mountain Lullabye he did so with great prowess. With sheer determination he learnt it within 48 hours (University work took a back seat, undoubtedly! I mean, a man has to prioritise!!). But when I listened to him play I saw how it unlocked a place in his heart that nothing else could. Your work was therapeutic, inspirational and down-right beautiful! If either of us had a bad day we would reconvene in the sitting room, play some 'Tommy' and all would make sense again.
Sadly, In May 2012, Steven was diagnosed with the rare blood disease ITP, it affects only a small percentage of the population and isn't considered to be life-threatening. However, within days of diagnosis Steven tragically passed away on the 26th May 2012. He was 23 years old.
To be completely honest Tommy it took quite a while before I was able to listen to your songs again, particularly Smokey Mountain Lullabye, as they just brought so many memories of him rushing back which, at the immediate stages of grief can be extremely painful. However, as the weeks flew by and the maze of emotions swung from one extreme to another, I found your music to be an incredible solace; a way for me to appreciate the pleasure I had of knowing him. And whilst he was never lucky enough to have met you, I can safely say you spoke to him through your music and I am, and can safely say that Steve would agree, forever indebted to you for that. Thank you so much. You offered hope at times of darkness, laughter in moments of tension and ultimately, access to sheer beauty.
I hope this message reaches you well.
It's hard to put into words the effect you have had on both of our lives. But, as is always best, I'll let the music speak for itself!

I want the tab to Classical Gas that includes the fast intro and other measures that are missing or not included in the 14 page pdf tab that is currently on the web and freely downloadable and printable for that tune.
Would you please send that to me or otherwise tell me where I can get that tablature?
I would appreciate it.
Russell
By the way, I went and saw Tommy at the Tower Theater in Bend Oregon on Jul 26, 2012 and also purchased Endless Road in the lobby. Great show.

here are some lyrics for "a change for good ",occurred to me on my drive down to ossipee,
oh well ,i'm on my own again
they say every good thing must end
i only wanna know
what is the future for my heart to be
a change for good is coming over me
i know ,i gave my heart away
but i know it's coming back someday
i only wanna know
do i just trust serendipity
a change for good is coming over me
if i had had the time
i might have seen the lovelight fading from her hazel eyes
if ihad only known
but she was gone too long before i realised
oh no ,no i'm not giving in,
cos i know ,i'll walk down that road again
i only wanna know
what does the future hold ,just wait and see
a change for good is coming over me
a change for good is coming over me
oh well ,i'm on my own again
they say every good thing must end
i only wanna know
what is the future for my heart to be
a change for good is coming over me
i know ,i gave my heart away

Hello Tommy!
I have had the good fortune of seeing your show several times and I must say I'm just amazed that anyone could play at such a high level, with so much improvisation. I have seen you play many of your songs many times and you always manage to mix it up, and add to it, I believe on the spot. You have a vast library of experience to draw from, and to do it with such fluid, flowing motion is really something to admire.
I wish I had more time to talk with you, but let me just also say that not nearly enough recognition is given to you for your creativity. You can paint such a vivid picture with just music alone! You create such delicate, beautiful melodys and you play them with such clarity. All one has to do is close their eyes and the images will appear.
You are a musical genius and a gift to the world!
Really looking forward to the show in St Louis tomorrow!

Hey Tommy (or Mr. Emmanuel ? :D),
my name is Ismael, i'm 16 years old and i'm from Germany, living in a small village near Cologne.
I'm playing guitar since 6 years, and I don't regret the spend time one moment.
As one of my favourite guitarplayers, you influenced me a lot - your music touches the heart, you seem to have found your peace and you're always such a kind guy ... it may sounds strange, I'm nearly a man, but when I'm grown up (if I do that once ;-)) I would like to be a bit like you.
But mostly, I would to express myself with the guitar as good as you.
Maybe it's just that I hadn't the time to make as many experiences and memories to write songs, which touch the heart ...
I don't know, and I don't know if I could live my life once as a musician.
But that's how life is ... you don't always see the path which is directly in front of you.
But I will, insh'allah, find my own way and follow it as an upright man, who lives out his dreams and lives with the music.
I just wanted to thank you for inspiring me - i'm surely not the only one.
You inspired us all who listened to your songs - and many others will follow this.
If you want to admit me some advices, or else - please, i appreciate it
Greetings and thanks,
Ismael Berrazouane
